We spent a week on houseboat #9 from July 28 - Aug 4. The mattresses on this boat are very old spring style mattresses. Super uncomfortable! The sofa bed on the boat was also very uncomfortable. By the end of the week we were all sore from having no comfortable places to sit or sleep. I have houseboated many times and have never had this problem. I asked for a partial refund because of this and did not get it. We also had a problem with the john boat we rented towards the end of the week. It basically wouldn't start. We did not call it in because we only had 2 days left. When we came in, I spoke with them about the boat and asked for a refund for the 2 days we could not use it. I was told, "Why didn't you call it in so we could have it working for our next renters". Really, this is not my problem. Your boats should be in good repair and renter's should not be blamed when things aren't working right. Needless to say, we will never be houseboating at Hoosier Hills Marina again.
